Brass is often bright gold in colour but can also be rose gold or silver white in colour. A higher percentage of copper gives it a reddish tint whereas more zinc lends it a silvery hue. 

Properties of brass:

The key element is zinc. Zinc strengthens the alloy, making it more ductile, more wear-resistant, but less electrically and thermally conductive, and less resistant to corrosion.

Brass is easier to cast and deform. These products contain more than 20-30% of zinc and, therefore, are heated to 250-300°C after deformation to prevent cracking under stress or in chemically aggressive environments. 

Brass railings fit perfectly into a wide range of spaces and often become the main accent of the interior.
